PAW 2008 video competition winners!!

The Privacy Awareness Week 2008 video competition closed on 8 August 2008.

This international privacy competition was an initiative of the Privacy Commissioners of Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Canada, the Northern Territory, New South Wales and Victoria. The competition was targeted at secondary school students and asked them to create and submit a two minute video about privacy and what it means to them.

Hong Kong entrants scooped the pool taking out first, second and third place. The winners were selected by the Privacy Commissioners for their excellent communication of privacy issues that affect young people. The first place winner will receive a video camera and the second and third prize winners will receive gift vouchers valued at $A500 and $A250.

Thanks and well done to all the competition entrants – the Privacy Commissioners were very impressed by the variety and professionalism of many of the entries and really enjoyed seeing how young people view privacy.
